Artistic Operations Manager

  • Take Attendance at each rehearsal and concert
    • Maintain attendance spreadsheet
    • Notify Director of emerging patterns (if someone is close to exceeding their limits).
  • Be in Charge of Communication / disseminating information to players.
    • Send Weekly Schedule Emails
    • Distribute stipend checks, etc.
  • Maintain Roster
    • Get Contact Information and signed Player Agreement from new players
    • Give Welcome Packet / Player Handbook to new players
    • Work with section leaders to make sure all positions are filled for each concert.
    • Track anticipated absences and ensure a sub is in place / that each part is covered.
    • Send updated Roster to Librarian and Director for each concert one month prior to rehearsal start.
    • Send list and coordinate comp tickets for musicians.
    • Maintain list of approved subs
    • Maintain accurate email list.
  • Auditions
    • Obtain who will be leaving the orchestra and what positions need to be filled for the following season
    • Coordinate audition times and contact auditionees
    • Attend auditions and check-in auditionees
  • Playbill
    • Submit personnel list
  • Other duties and projects as requested by the director
  • Monthly Meetings with Music Director
